Translated from Italian, Ciabatta means “slipper”- a reference to the the low, flat shape of these rolls. Our Ciabatta has a medium crust, slightly lighter than our Pugliese Rolls with a similar large hole interior. A little sour starter is added along with yeast yielding a subtle tang that compliments all sorts of sandwich ingredients. Filled and pressed they make for an incredible panini.
